Elvira, 21: ”I got Chris Hemsworth's private snaps in photo shop mix-up”

A Swedish tourist has told Aftonbladet she received an electronic file containing Chris Hemsworth's private snaps, including some from his brother's wedding with Miley Cyrus, after a photographic shop’s mix-up in Australia.

Currently on a road trip through down under, Elvira Nordström gave her holiday photos to a local photo shop in Byron on Wednesday to be developed. Shortly after, they were delivered to her email via a Dropbox link. However, opening the files, Elvira got the shock of her life. Rather than her own holiday snaps, the 21-year-old told Aftonbladet that she had received Australian actor Chris Hemsworth's private photos.

”I thought, 'Is this some kind of sick joke?',” she said.

Deleted the photos

Apart from selfies of the 35-year-old star, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, the file also contained pictures from his brother Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus's wedding.

”There were pictures from the ceremony, family photos and of the after party,” Elvira said.

She shared the unbelievable finding on her Instagram Story and a friend contacted her, saying that she knows Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky – and that the star himself would get in touch.

Elsa’s brother also contacted her, advising her to delete the pictures, which she did.

”I didn't know whether I'd get in trouble for keeping them and I wouldn't have known what to do with them anyway,” she said.

A couple of minutes later, she received a call from a private number. It was Chris Hemsworth – who wanted to thank her for not leaking the pictures.

”I got completely star-struck,” the Swede said, laughing.

”(I couldn't believe) I was talking to Chris Hemsworth on the phone.”

Before hanging up, Elvira took the opportunity to tell Hemsworth that she was a fan of his.

"He replied: 'I am a big fan of you too. You're such a great person.' And I was like, 'Oh my God'," she said.

Later, Elvira checked her Instagram account and saw that the star had written to thank her there too, and had started to follow her on the photo-sharing platform. And he was not alone.

”I've got lots of new followers,” Elvira said.

”And lots of people are getting in touch asking me to leak the photos.”

Refused money for leak

To leak them was, however, never an option for her.

”Many of my friends told me to sell the pictures, and that I could get so much money, but no.”

Eventually, Elvira also received the correct pictures from her Australian road trip.

Had her pictures ended up with Chris Hemsworth?

”I don't think so, but I didn't ask, ha ha.”
